Venice Charters and Lodging LLC

The purpose of this blog is to share the wonderful wilderness marsh and swamp wetlands at the mouth of the Mississippi River with our visiting guests who seek birdwatching, fishing, hunting or photo safaris in conjunction with home-cooked meals, friendly guide services and comfortable lodging.

You can fish the blue water for tuna, mackerel, snapper, or mahi mahi,

the marshland for trout and redfish as seen below,

From top to bottom, a speckeled trout, redfish, and sheephead.

or enjoy the world-class birdwatching,

book a guided photography safari for rosette spoonbills,

go wild boar hunting year-round with a Louisiana catahoula hog dog as seen below,

participate in a guided hunt for deer or duck when in season,

or just do a weekend get-away and enjoy the sunsets from our water-front accomodations and endulge yourself in home-cooked Cajun cuisine.

These are some of the opportunities available through our personal or referal services.

Our chief guide is Captain Keith Kennedy, of Born to Fish Charters, he has been fishing Venice, LA for decades. Come experience the incredible fishing that this area has to offer with one of the areas top guides. Fish for Speckled Trout, Redfish and Flounder, or schedule a sightseeing or photography trip.

We can also offer overnight accomodations in our fine waterfront camps, with home cooked meals, made from fresh caught seafood. Catch of the day seafood is what makes our Louisiana Cuisine sooo... good.
